Congratulations to our amazing girls' football team. They were the beaten finalists in the Coaching For Christ Girls' Tournament this week. After winning all their group games, they came back from a goal down to beat Groggan 2-1 in the quarter-final. They won the semi-final on penalties and then faced Ballykeel in the final. They were brilliant in the final but just couldn't get the ball in the net! They eventually lost on penalties but we couldn't be prouder of their achievement! (And they were all great fun!)
A great day was had by everyone at our Football Festival. A massive thank you to Coaching for Christ who organised the day and have coached us all year! We love to see them coming on a Thursday!
Ewan’s aunt Wendy talked to P3 about her very interesting job with the N. I. Fire and Rescue Service.
P1 have been very busy since returning to school after the Easter Holidays. There has been baking, jelly making, special celebrations, fruit-tasting and lots and lots of learning inside and outside of our classroom. The P6 and P7 children enjoyed a wonderful trip to Scotland! They visited the Riverside Museum and Tall Ship on day one, and went to see the Kelpies in Falkirk in the evening. On day two, we spent the whole day in Blair Drummond Safari park in beautiful weather, then some ten pin bowling and some football/playpark activity before bedtime. On the way home on day three, we enjoyed the Glasgow Science Centre followed by some retail therapy in Braehead shopping centre. It was a wonderful trip with wonderful children, and staff! The gallery is below (it's a big one!) - click the photos to enlarge.
What a glorious day we had in Carrickfergus. The children were so well behaved and really enjoyed the park and the castle.
Today our girls’ football team took part in the Ballymena Schools Girls’ Cup tournament. They played brilliantly and came top of their section having not conceded a goal. The girls played Gracehill PS in the semifinals where they were beaten 1-0 in a very tight game. We are so proud of the girls. Really well done!
Our amazing netball team did us all really proud today! They were finalists in the Ballymena area netball tournament at the Seven Towers Leisure Centre. They won every group game and scored over 20 goals on their way to the final, where they were beaten 3-1 by Clough PS in a really tight game. Congratulations girls!
