Primary Four have had a great day creating rockets and space stations. A lot of mess but a LOT of fun, teamwork and creativity!
Moorfields were absolutely delighted to be invited to play at the Kingspan Stadium, home of Ulster Rugby, today. Starting our first match by running out of the tunnel to getting to see inside the changing rooms, this was a day to remember!
Moorfields played three matches and were undefeated! Click this button to view the photos of P6 and P7s amazing residential trip to Wild Atlantic Residential Centre at Tullagh Bay in Donegal
On Wednesday morning the children said goodbye to Ronnie, who retires as caretaker after 17 years at Moorfields. They presented cards and gifts and prepared this short video of their memories with ‘the main man’! Ronnie was blown away by the generosity of the wider Moorfields family. We presented him with a cheque of all the donations received, and he asked me to express his heartfelt appreciation to you all... "Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Ronnie" Primary 7 have proudly donated £250 from their ‘Wooden It Be Fabulous’ profits to MacMillan Cancer Support. Three members of school staff (Mrs McClintock, Mrs Clements and Diane McLaughlin) are part of a team called ‘The Hopefuls take 4’ who are completing a full hike at the Giant’s Causeway in June to raise much needed funds for MacMillan Cancer. Primary 7 explained that they not only wanted to donate to support staff members, but they also wanted to do something that would give back and help people in the local community who had been very supportive of their business venture, so they chose MacMillan Cancer because they are aware of the amazing work MacMillan do, supporting people with cancer and their families. ‘The Hopefuls take 4’ team have set up a Just Giving page for people to support them in whatever way they can. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
On Tuesday our rugby team headed to Coleraine RFC for an Ulster Rugby Blitz. The team played brilliantly and won 3 out of their 4 matches!
Huge congratulations to these two boys who will be representing Moorfields Primary School in the Irish Minor Schools' Championships in Dublin this weekend.
