Primary Four have had a lovely morning with Mr Saunderson who came in to tell us all about farming in the past. He even made us some butter! Huge congratulations to these boys who represented the school at the Owen Daley 7-a-side football tournament. They played really well, winning their first match and drawing the rest. They came home undefeated! Well done boys!
Primary Four had a lovely afternoon with some very special people. Thank you so much to everyone who came, we had a great afternoon. Primary 1 and 2 have been making good use of their waterproof trousers to make sure a bit of rain doesn't stop our fun!
As part of our topic on Fruit and Vegetables, Primary Four picked apples from the orchard and made and an apple crumble!
Primary 2 had a fantastic day at the Ulster Folk Museum. We have been learning about homes in the past and we really enjoyed seeing what houses looked like over 100 years ago.
The Eco-committee harvested our potatoes and leeks and cooked a very tasty soup! Maisie was back in school to help with this and all the children enjoyed sampling the soup. Thank you so much to our entire Moorfields family for helping us to raise such an amazing sum of money for Angel Wishes. We were delighted that Mr and Mrs Currie were able to join us in assembly to receive a cheque for £7200 on behalf of the charity and we know that it will be put to very good use!
